Baby #3 – ETA July
Jan/1121
I tweeted about this a few weeks ago but have had so many online buddies miss the tweets that I thought a follow up blog post might be worthwhile – we’re having another baby!
Our boys are both excited – our eldest (X) will be 5 and (H) will be 3 so we’re going to have a busy time, but are all looking forward to what lays ahead.
Baby is due early in July, but based upon both of our other little guys being 10 days late we’re not expecting them to arrive til mid July.
We don’t yet know the gender but will find out in a few weeks (we won’t tell too many people though – there has to be some surprises)! We’re told that based upon having had 2 boys already that we’re a 75% chance of having another boy which we’re more than happy with.
V (my wife) is doing well. Tired but healthy and getting all in order for the fun ahead.
It’s been interesting to hear people’s reactions to us having a 3rd. It seems that the most common words parents of 3 kids have used to describe are ‘crazy’ and ‘fun’. Not quite sure how to take that as 2 has also been crazy and fun…. I guess it gets more intense.
Anyway – I guess it’s official now, it’s on the web!

Congratulations. Babies are wonderful, as they turn into really lovely adults. I had two about 30 years ago, and I now wish I had five!
(ps. Don’t dread the teen years. They are the best bit.)

Congratulations! WOW, you decided to go for #3. We stopped at 2 – we didn’t want to tempt fate :)
Many blessings to you and your wife on your new little addition. Can’t wait to see a picture of him or her!

Congratulations to you (both!)
As a mum to three with a very similar age gap, (mine are now 8, 6 and nearly 4) I smiled wryly at your ‘crazy fun’ comments. It’s the being permanently outnumbered thing that beats me every times. I literally don’t have enough hands!

Congratulations! That is wonderful news!!
I’m also pregnant and due in July (but with our 5th). I was super nervous when we went from 2 to 3, but it really wasn’t as difficult as the transition from 1 to 2 because my older kids were now able to understand things like “wait” and “sit here for a minute” :) It’s just “more”. More shoes and jackets to find when it’s time to go, more stress, more chaos but more love, more joy, more hugs and kisses. Hope Mrs. R continues to feel well!

Congratulations to you and your wife, Darren!
As a father of 3 myself I can appreciate your excitement and wish you all the best. Your boys are going to love it, too.
All the best!

Congratulations mate!
We had our first a few months ago and it’s been fantastic. About the same time some friends had their third (3 boys) and they’re having a ‘crazy’ ‘fun’ time :-) Biggest problem seems to be keeping the older two (3.5 and 2) from ‘loving’ the little guy a bit too much. 2 year old cuddles are a bit rough for a newborn :p

Congrats!
Funny enough, a third child isn’t three times the work. Also, maybe the stats won’t work out, as for our forth, all signs pointed to a boy after one boy then two girls. And we got a girl. :D
It will be fun either way.

Congrats!
In my experience (I have two kids, young adults now, but once lived in a blended family with six kids altogether), no matter how many you have it’s always one too many (”it’s so much easier when there’s only five…”). Which is not so bad.
I wouldn’t put much stock in that probability though. Unless there’s a specific genetic or physiological factor increasing the likelihood of one over the other (and a sample size of two is too small to draw any conclusions from without having medical tests), having had two kids of one sex does not affect the chances of what you will have next.

Congrats… Three is the first time I realized I didn’t have enough hands… three or a couple more, you never have enough hands to go round but you do have an ever expanding heart and loads of fun coming your way!!!
