I’ve had this domain for quite a few years now but have never done much more than forward it to one of my other blogs.
However over the past few months I’ve had a growing desire to create a space online to write about topics that have less to do with the niches that my blogs talk about and to write more about ‘life’.
I’m not exactly sure what I’ll blog about or how often I’ll post – but whatever it ends up being it’ll be more of a glimpse into what I’m thinking and feeling passionate.
Don’t expect too much in the way of writing about blogging, photography or anything much else to do with social media – I’ve got blogs for each of those topics (see sidebar) – rather expect to see me think out loud about life.
Posts will by no means be daily – they may not even be weekly – rather they’ll come as I’m inspired to add them.

Thanks Jose and Jim – we’ll see where this progresses to – to be honest I’m not quite sure how I’ll end up using it – but in many ways it’s a full circle return to the way I started my first blog – talking about life :-)

This is really cool. I think at some point every blogger feels the need to start a personal blog just to discuss things not in their specific area. That’s why I have mine. Good luck with your latest site. :)

It’s great that you put up a personal blog. This way your readers will see a much more holistic view of the man behind problogger.com.

Congrats Darren, I must say there are not many people who can launch a new blog and instantly have people commenting on it! But in your case, your following follows you!! I never really thought about it before but I am surprised you haven’t done this sooner… I too bought my name but sat on it for a while before deciding to do something about it. Like you its just my personal space to post my thoughts on life and all things random. It will be interesting to find out a little more about your views on life away from your niche blogs.

Very nice blog! I’m glad you got DarrenRowse.com rather than it falling into someone else’s hands. I suppose separating your personal blog from your business blogs is best, although I put everything in one large pot and stir.

Being new to blogging, I can see I’ve been pointed in the right direction in being shown the way here. I’m always curious about what’s going on in people’s head (not least of which my own), and a high profile head can be just as entertaining as an off the radar one :).
